The SIPAN Consortium was founded the 10th of July 2006 by a number of Italian industrialists eager to bring back drive and vigour to a branch of activity which over the recent years had let its prime role in Italian culinary tradition fall somewhat behind.

Its mission, particularly, is to promote and encourage initiatives aimed at raising visibility of all companies large and small and their products, and to set out a cost-effective trade fair strategy that ensures maximized returns in an even and transparent manner.

To achieve this goal, a new trade event has been created, under direct management by the SIPAN consortium, a non-profit entity open to all players. The event is to be held at pre-eminent trade venues.

All the Consortium member – at the moment there are more than 70 members - have elected A.B. Tech Expo and A.B Tech Pizza Expo as their official trade events






FIPPA

FIPPA - Italian Federation of Bakers, Pastry-makers and Associates is the representative trade association of the industry. Reconstituted in 1946 after the war, the association has upheld the interests of Italy's baking industry for over 50 years.
The scopes of the association include.
• Representation of the industry at national and international levels
• Underwriting collective bargain contracts
• Examine, discuss and resolve issues of interest to the industry
• Promote and participate to surveys, publications and actions aimed at a better awareness of the issues pertaining to the industry
• Disseminate knowledge instrumental to the advancement of production technology and qualification of the people
• Initiate and organize in Italy and abroad actions conducive to the development and qualification of the industry
• Provide the contents for and publish the weekly Arte Bianca
• Provide consultancy on fiscal, legal, contractual and social security issues of interst to the industry

From October 2006, FIPPA is a member of the SIPAN Consortium and shares its mission and is a co-founder of A.B. Tech Expo and A.B. Tech Pizza Expo, which it acknowledges as the new trade event of the industry.
